Hey Daniel!
Thanks for the help
So, this clears up a lot.
Let\’s see, battery came in and I just connected it before reading your latest reply and I think I\’m going to have to make some adjustments.I went ahead and sealed the outermost hemispheres at the seam with goop.
Also decided to add rain water to the mix. Turns out there were water fleas in the rain barrel. Filtered the little guys out.
Added it and a little solution of dissolved pink sea salt. About a half a tbl spoon or less.If I\’m understanding you correctly, the cell is charged at 1amp, but not when running the automobile.
The cell should have a 1.5v battery hooked up to it continuously to maintain the potential. Will probably see if this 6v will hold its potential in place of a 1.5v. What do you think? Does it really matter what the voltage is?
Also, how long would a 1.5v battery last with holding the cell\’s potential?
Are there immediate noticeable effects once it\’s set up correctly on a car without an O2 sensor? Does the engine run colder, etc?Going to go mess around with it mounted. Will probably take out my variac and see about running 1amp through the solution.
Thanks for the insight.
How long should the water have 1amp running through it? I\’m thinking it\’s an indeterminate amount and based off of its electrical potential after or something?Sorry for all the questions, but I had a hard time tracking down a complete guide!
In fact, there doesn\’t seem to be much on the interwebs about MJC, that I can find outside of your website. -

Hi Daniel
Woops, the pictures should be viewable now.
1 amp you say? I went ahead and bought this 6V 1.1aH rechargeable lead acid battery:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/222930402684I\’m worried that if I use an electrolyte it\’s going to corrode parts of the cell.. turns out the spade terminals are oxidizing already in the healing MJC. I need to upgrade to stainless, but they seem hard to come by.
Will post more when the rechargeable battery arrives.
Thanks for the help and ideas!

I\’m mounting the car cell to a 1987 Volvo 244.
Baby doesn\’t have an O2 sensor, so I\’m really excited to see how she\’ll perform.
**Update: I believe I figured out how to power the car cell and will be figuring out a battery harness for it.
I also went ahead and applied some goop around the seem of the male and female hemispheres where they meet, perpendicular to the negative pole.
Any ideas on a reliable long term way to power the cell? There\’s a testimonial of a fellow who had it on his automobile for a while, disconnected it from the car and powered it up at home remotely. When it was on, it seemed to still be entangled with the car.
Has anyone confirmed similar experiences/results?Thanks
