<p>1: I used stranded copper wire rather than steel.</p>
<p>2: Although the copper wire and connections on the bottom were sealed from the &#8220;exterior&#8221;, whether it be air or water (in the case of charging water.) During the first two days of charging it I ran my truck 54 miles on a gallon. It normally gets approximately 18 mpg freeway and city driving. It turned out that I broke the water tight seal to my busmuth core on my car kit as I was assembling it. I pulled it all apart and peeled all the toxic &#8216;shoe goo&#8217; and the silicone  off the bismuth core. <p>I also used some old amp wire for my leads and used heat shrink tubing and silicone to seal the contacts of the leads. <p>I did manage to drip some solder into the joints, it was cracked all the way through. I peeled off the goo you had and the copper wire stayed intact and held the two separated pieces together. Little did I know that my 30 watt soldering iron was hot enough to liquefy the bismuth too! I noticed today as I was dis-assembling the car kit unit that the bismuth core was cracked (1 of two that I have). I am wondering what your opinion is of soldering the bismuth core back together? I used a base of structured water produced from my own vortex trap. I think this helped my charging process proceed so quickly and on such a low voltage (12 v). Should I charge using only a steel or glass container?</p>
<p>Also, since lower voltages can be used to charge water, will I need anything more than the negative pole of a car battery to charge my water?
