My first install was in a 1991 Subaru Legacy. It had a flat-4/boxer engine with the moejoe connected to a vacuum port. I occasionally applied power via the cigarette lighter. Overall, I averaged 26.1MPG. About 24% above the EPA combined estimate of 21MPG.

I don\’t have perfect data, but the 26.1MPG was averaged over 19 tanks of fuel driven almost 7,000 miles before the car was donated to charity. It still ran great, but the body (rust) & glass repairs cost more than the vehicle was worth.

The engine had EFI, so I didn\’t make any modifications to the timing or O2 sensor. I just hooked the moejoe to a vacuum port and occasionally powered with the cigarette lighter as I was driving. 5min on, 20 min off, etc.
